Accounting for your success

If you're considering a master's degree, here's some good news: Hiring demand is up for business graduates worldwide. The GMAC 2017 Corporate Recruiters Survey reports that companies plan to hire more b-school grads than in previous years.

Program of study only sweetens the deal. Hiring demand is up for all b-school disciplines, including accounting. "Overall, 89 percent of companies with plans to hire Master of Accounting graduates will maintain (52%) or increase (37%) the number of these graduates they hire in 2017 compared with 2016," summarizes the report. And considering that the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 10 percent growth in accounting jobs through 2026, it’s a great time to pursue a career in accountancy.
