Setting the stage for women in business

The W. P. Carey School of Business is honored to sponsor Forté Foundation, a nonprofit consortium of corporations and top business schools working together to pioneer change for women in business. Forté helps launch women into fulfilling and significant careers in business, through access to business education, career opportunities, and a community of successful women.

The W. P. Carey School is rethinking the nature of business to engage the world and create a better future. Diversity underpins this vision. Like Forté Foundation, the W. P. Carey School understands the value of an MBA, of women in the classroom, and of women in the boardroom. We are focused on increasing women’s access to and success in higher education, business networks, and business careers.

We also practice what we preach. One of the few female b-school deans in the United States, Amy Hillman is leading the W. P. Carey School to new heights. Women comprise the majority of our senior leadership, serving as visible and respected role models and mentors to our students. W. P. Carey women not only inspire in the classroom and innovate in their fields, but invigorate our school, campus, and community.

Kristin Cobuzzi, a W. P. Carey MBA alum and past president of the MBA Association, believes the W. P. Carey School offers female MBA students a unique opportunity to advance themselves and their careers. "W. P. Carey fosters a comfortable environment for women to work and learn together, and stronger networking and support for future female business leaders," says Kristin, who leveraged her MBA to land a great position in sourcing and procurement for The Walt Disney Company.

“I’m doing exactly what I wanted to do,” she adds. “And I’ve been able to get here because of all that I gained with my MBA — both professionally and personally.”

When business is personal, everyone wins. Find out more about diversity at the W. P. Carey School of Business and Arizona State University.
