Fall 2024 W. P. Carey Dean's Medalists honored at celebratory luncheon
The W. P. Carey School of Business honors the top graduate from each degree program as Dean's Medalists for their exceptional achievements.
Each graduation season, the W. P. Carey School of Business honors the top graduating student from each degree program as a Dean's Medalist. The designation, from one of the most highly ranked and the largest business school in the U.S., recognizes students for standing out as the best among the best.
"Graduates, you should be incredibly proud of this designation," said Amy Ostrom, vice dean and interim chair of the Department of Marketing, who was emcee for the luncheon honoring the medalists. "You have truly stood out as a remarkable student and member of the W. P. Carey community."
W. P. Carey Dean Ohad Kadan also shared remarks for the honorees. "This is just the start for you," he said. "Add what you have learned at the W. P. Many students agreed that the environment at W. P. Carey made their experience incredibly special. "In the outside world, when you put in the work for something, you hope that work comes back to you in the form of a result. At W. P. Carey, it feels like you put in the work and it multiplies, coming back to you three or four times," explained Varun Veda (MS Business Analytics '24) about the supportive culture.
The Dean's Medalist winners received medallions to wear at convocation, a certificate denoting the recognition, and professional photos with the dean. Students were able to network with school leadership and each other throughout the luncheon, as well, before officially joining a network of more than 125,000 alums across 160-plus countries and all 50 states, when they cross the stage next week.
