It provides solutions to more than 20 million commercial, industrial, and municipal customers across the U.S. and Canada, and is perhaps best known as America’s largest residential recycler.

Thinking green

Managing more than 14 million tons of recycled or reused material each year, Waste Management has a strong commitment to sustainability that has launched a number of initiatives around recycling, e-cycling to reduce waste of small electronics, renewable energy, water conservation, and more. As a result, Waste Management has been named among the greenest companies in the U.S. by Newsweek, has been listed on the Climate A-List by the Carbon Disclosure Project the past two years, and is a three-time Wildlife Habitat Council community partner of the year.

In addition to its many efforts on the environment, Waste Management has been heralded for its diversity and inclusion in hiring and developing staff, receiving numerous accolades for its representation of military veterans, women, millennials, and minorities.
