Mayo Clinic Arizona CEO Wyatt Decker to address ECP luncheon

Dr. Decker helps direct Mayo Clinic’s research, education, and clinical operations in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. In addition, as chief medical information officer, he oversees IT and digital strategy for the Mayo Clinic, which currently includes a new electronic health record (EHR) implementation at all Mayo Clinic facilities.
Modernizing health records
The Mayo Clinic recently implemented a $1.5 billion update to its EHR system called the Plummer Project, named for Dr. Henry Plummer, an early pioneer in Mayo's record-keeping. The effort will unify records across locations, including billing information, dramatically increasing the efficiency of care.

Dr. Decker is directly responsible for Mayo Clinic operations in Arizona, which includes launching Mayo Clinic School of Medicine — Arizona Campus; constructing a state-of-the-art NCI-designated cancer center with proton beam therapy; pioneering the use of digital technologies to provide healthcare expertise to affiliated practices nationwide; and providing healthcare for more than 120,000 patients each year at Mayo’s five locations in greater Phoenix.
