
Company loyalty leads to exploitation and unpaid work: Study
Researchers from ASU show that managers tend to prey on employee loyalty.

For the study, three researchers at Duke University's business school, Arizona State University, and West Virginia University investigated the "possible negative consequences of being a loyal employee in the workplace." What they found was that loyal employees are likely to be "perceived to be more exploitable" and enter into a "vicious circle of suffering" over time.
