A 2018 study conducted by Arizona State University's W.P. Carey Business School sheds light on the extent to which the Cactus League impacts Arizona each year. The total economic impact of the 2018 spring training season was estimated at $373 million. This included the creation of 6,439 year-round jobs, paying a combined $224.6 million.
