Join the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and the Arizona Biomedical Research Corporation for the second annual Arizona Business and Health Summit (ABHS). The summit will be a place for researchers, clinicians, practitioners, public policymakers, and community partners to advance business and health throughout Arizona through increased collaboration.
This year's theme is "Implementing Programs for Resilience: Lessons for Sustained Change in Health Care Provider Organizations." The event takes place Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, on ASU's Tempe campus.
The summit is an opportunity to learn about progressive practices from different sectors and document success factors for implementing and sustaining innovative programs and policies to solve business challenges and improve resilience.
The summit will reflect upon strategies employed by suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and providers to mitigate ongoing challenges — focusing on project goals, options considered, evaluation criteria (e.g., strategic fit, risk, ROI), business requirements, anticipated and accrued benefits, and impact on the end-user/customer/patient.
Why attend?
The summit will help you understand the role of evidence-based management and implementation practices across sectors with a special emphasis on health care provider organizations.
- If you are a manager, learn best practices for successful implementation projects related to resilience.
- If you are an executive, learn best practices for successful implementation projects related to resilience and how to best introduce, manage, and lead through change.
- If you are a health sector clinician, learn about successful implementation programs for resilience. Change is challenging in clinical settings, even when great evidence supports it; learn more about the important competency of managing change.
- If you are an academic, learn about significant and successful resilience initiatives in the health sector and gather ideas for practice-inspired research. Presenters will provide insights into how managers seek and employ knowledge in managerial decision-making, providing guidance for increasing the relevance of research.
