
Hobbs announces 19-member committee to develop AI policy guidelines for the state
An ASU professor specializing in accountancy and AI in government will join the inaugural board.

On Wednesday, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced the members of a group that will develop AI policy guidelines for the state government. The 19-person committee consists of technology and law experts as well as local government members. Hobbs says the committee will develop a framework for artificial intelligence, recommend guidelines for the technology's adoption across agencies, and strengthen AI literacy.
The first report is expected to come next spring.
