Co-founder of State Forty Eight talks about representing Arizona

State Forty Eight, the apparel line that offers gear for those proud to represent the state of Arizona, was named the winner of the 2019 Spirit of Enterprise Award for its innovation and growth, as well as its ethics and positive impact on Arizona’s economy. State Forty Eight is known for redefining the status quo and inspiring others to rise up and stand for what they believe in.

The W. P. Carey School honored State Forty Eight co-founders Michael Spangenberg and Stephen and Nicholas Polando, who are brothers, at a luncheon hosted by the Economic Club of Phoenix at the Camelback Golf Club on Nov. 13.

Listen as Spangenberg shares about the company's start in 2013 — all from the spare bedroom of his childhood home — as well as its growth from investing in organizations its customers care about, business obstacles, and promising future.
