A study by Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business estimated that Sky Harbor Airport has a $38 billion impact on the Arizona economy, accounts for $13 billion in payroll, and is responsible for 269,000 jobs in the state. Of those positions, 57,432 are directly from Sky Harbor Airport.
