A Week in My Life

The first trimester is coming to a close. Three out of four finals are now out of the way and I definitely looking forward to having next week off! I can’t believe how fast it has gone. Not going to lie, 8 hours of sleep has not been a common occurrence the last few months. It feels like every minute of the day is taken up by something school related, but it feels great to be accomplishing so much in such a short amount of time.

But the weeks are certainly packed as a Full-time MBA student. Here's what my past week looked like, just to give you an idea:

Monday

8 a.m. – Noon

Classes: Organizational Behavior and Strategy

Noon – 1 p.m.

Toastmaster: This week we told Halloween stories for public speaking practice

1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Class: Career Leadership

3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Team meetings: Focal company report and presentation

7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Studied for Accounting and Stats quizzes on Tuesday

10 p.m. – 12 a.m.

Worked on focal company Power Point presentation

Tuesday

8 a.m. – Noon

Classes: Accounting and Statistics

Noon – 1 p.m.

Nigerian lunch and presentation from fellow student Edward Barber

1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Quick workout at the Student Recreation Complex (SRC)

2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Graduate Assistantship (I work for MBA admissions 10 hours a week)

5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Team meeting to finish team report and presentation

10 p.m. – 12 a.m.

Wrapped up development plan report due on Wednesday

Wednesday

6 a.m. – 8 a.m.

Arrived at school early to practice our team presentation

8 a.m. – Noon

Classes: A case in Organizational Behavior and our Strategy presentation

2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Graduate Assistantship

6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Dinner and drink with Cisco recruiters before tomorrow's interview

9 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Prepped for Cisco and Johnson & Johnson summer internship nterviews

10 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Finalized and submitted application for Intel internship

Thursday

8 a.m. – Noon

Classes: Accounting and Statistics

Noon – 2 p.m.

Quick lunch and a bike ride home pick up my lucky MBA interviewing suit

2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Cisco interview

3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Graduate Assistantship

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Johnson & Johnson interview

7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
