Happy Holidays!
It amazes me that 2012 is already drawing to a close. It’s now just a matter of months before my class graduates and is on our way. I love being a student and I wish I had a few more years here! The end of the year has come quickly and there is still a lot to do and a lot going on. Along with preparations for final exams there’s also a volunteer gift giving drive and annual Holiday Party.
The annual W.P. Carey Holiday party was held last weekend. The event was just as good as last year’s. It was held at the outdoors at the Hackett house in downtown Tempe. The Hackett house is a historic 120 year old house that now serves as Tempe’s Sister City Organization headquarters. It was a great venue for a party and everyone had a great time. It was really nice to see my favorite professors from last year and also get to know some of the first year students a little better. Along with food, drinks and music there was a photo booth and an instant dry ice cream stand.
After finals finish up this week most of us are headed out of town. Even most of the international students who didn’t have a chance to go home last year are taking the long break to visit their families all across the world. As for me I’m looking forward to nice refreshing break and coming back next year and finishing strong!
