
Arizona's minimum wage just increased by 50 cents
Research Professor of Economics Lee McPheters forecasts the effect of Arizona's minimum wage increase on its state economy.
In 2017, Arizona's minimum wage sat at $10 an hour. To usher in the new year, the minimum wage rose 50 cents an hour.

"Raising the minimum wage (at the start of 2017) didn't affect food-service jobs," said Lee McPheters, a research professor in economics at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business.
